My name is Sione Lynn Pili Lister and I graduated from the University of Washington in 2014, earning a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Education, Learning and Society (ELS). Post graduation, I completed a term of service with the Pipeline Project at the University of Washington through AmeriCorps: Washington Service Corps.
I left the UW as a confident woman of color ready to impact the communities and causes I am most passionate about. I am committed to giving back to historically marginalized communities and to playing my part in narrowing the opportunity gap in the United States. I believe that communities of color are full of cultural wealth, and while that may not be socially valued in many of our institutions, that that cultural wealth holds great wisdom and knowledge that all communities can learn from.
I have decided to continue to use this portfolio, post graduation, as a way to continue to reflect and show case my work within the different communities I serve.
